Title: Power to Forgive and Cleanse from Sin

He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3b

Once upon a time, there was a problem that affected all of humanity. People were doing bad things, hurting each other, and causing a lot of trouble in the world. Everyone wondered why this was happening and what could be done to fix it. The answer, according to the Bible, was that people were being selfish. They only cared about themselves and didn’t think about how their actions affected others.

But there was hope! God had a plan to solve this problem. He sent his son, Jesus, to be born as a baby in Bethlehem. Jesus came to earth to cleanse people from their selfishness and make everything right again. It was like a big cleaning process, where Jesus would wash away all the bad things people had done and give them a fresh start.

The good news was that anyone who believed in Jesus and followed him could experience this cleansing power. It didn’t matter how long they had been doing bad things or how recent their mistakes were. Jesus had the power to forgive and cleanse them from all the guilt and shame. He would wipe away their past and give them a new beginning every day.This was the most amazing message of all. Jesus had the power to make everything right again. He could take away the stains of selfishness and give people a clean slate to start over. It was like having a fresh page to write on every day, with the help and grace of God.

When Jesus had finished his work of cleansing, he went back to heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. This meant that he was in charge of everything. He had solved the problem of human selfishness and was now in control of all the events happening in the world.

The story of Jesus is a story of hope and redemption. It tells us that no matter how bad we may have been or what mistakes we have made, there is always a chance for a fresh start. Jesus has the power to cleanse us from our selfishness and give us a new beginning. All we have to do is believe in him and follow him.

Remember, you are never too young or too old to experience this cleansing power. Jesus loves you and wants to make your life better. So, if you ever feel guilty or ashamed of something you have done, just remember that Jesus is there to forgive you and give you a fresh start. Trust in him, and he will always be there to guide you and help you become the best version of yourself.

The power to cleanse is a gift from Jesus, and it is available to everyone who believes in him. So, let’s embrace this amazing message and live our lives in the power and grace of the living God.

Thoughts for Reflection

  1. Have you ever felt guilty or ashamed of something you did? Jesus can take away that guilt and give you a fresh start. When we ask for forgiveness and believe in him, he cleanses us from all our mistakes. Reflect on the power of Jesus to cleanse us from our mistakes and wrongdoings. How does this make you feel?
  2. Consider the love and care that Jesus has for us. How does knowing that Jesus is in control of everything that happens in the world bring you comfort and peace.
  3. Song
    Would you be free from the burden of sin?
    There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
    Would you o’er evil a victory win?
    There’s wonderful power in the blood. Refrain
    There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder working pow’r
    In the blood of the Lamb;
    There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder working pow’r
    In the precious blood of the Lamb. Prayer
    Dear God, thank you for sending the Lord of Glory to us. It’s hard to explain how amazing it is that he came as a baby and grew up to die for us, but we know it means he loves us so much. Thank you for making us special by sending him to save us. Help us always remember that we are loved and valuable because of him. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
