Hon. Okoronkwo spoke after day 2 of the ongoing MTN MOC Athletics Championship holding in Abuja, where Imo State athletes dominated in all the throws events.
Patience Joseph, athletes from Imo State, took home the bronze in the girls 400 meters event, showcasing her exceptional skills and determination. Additionally, Obiefule Success from secured gold in the boys javelin, shotput, and a silver in the discuss event, further highlighting the impressive performance and indomitable spirit of State athletes.
Another standout athlete from Imo State is Ukandu Judith, who secured gold in the girls shotput and discuss events, along with a silver in the javelin event. Joseph Justus also demonstrated his exceptional skills by clinching gold in the discuss event, a silver in the shotput event, and a bronze in the javelin event.
