Title: God’s House

Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. Hebrews 3:5-6

In the Bible, there is a verse in Hebrews that talks about the house of God. Some people think that the house of God means a church building, but that’s not true. The house of God is not a building, it is people!Even in the old days, when there was a temple or a tabernacle, it wasn’t really God’s house. God doesn’t live in buildings. In fact, in the book of Isaiah, God says that heaven is His throne and earth is His footstool. He asks, “Where is the house you would build for me?” God made everything, so He doesn’t need a building made by humans.
So, what is the house of God then? It’s us! We are God’s house. He never intended to live in a building, He wants to live in our hearts. When we believe in Him and follow Him, He comes to live in us. That’s why we are His house.
So, the next time you hear someone talking about the house of God, remember that it’s not a building, it’s people. We are God’s house, and He wants to be with us and in us.
God doesn’t live in a building, but in people like you and me. He wants us to be the place where he lives and shows his love. The Bible says that our bodies are like a temple where God’s Spirit lives. That means we should take care of our bodies and use them to do good things.Moses was a servant who worked hard to prepare things for God’s people. But Jesus is like a Son who owns the house and can use everything in it. We should listen to Jesus and honor him because he is special and important.

Thought for Reflection
As we reflect on the concept of being the house of God, let us consider how we can daily invite God to dwell in our hearts. How can we align our thoughts, words, and actions with His will? How can we use our bodies as temples of His Spirit, honoring Him in all that we do? Let us seek His guidance and surrender ourselves fully to His presence, that we may be vessels of His love and grace to those around us.

Song
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
At the impulse of Thy love.

Prayer :
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us that we are your house. Thank you for choosing to dwell in our hearts and be with us always. Help us to honor and cherish this incredible privilege, and to live our lives in a way that reflects your love and grace. Fill us with your Spirit, that we may be a light to the world and bring glory to your name. Guide us in taking care of our bodies, using them to serve others and do good works. May our lives be a testimony of your presence and love within us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
