Title: Warning, Warning, Warning!
See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. Hebrews 3:12-14
When we believe in Jesus and let Him change us, we become part of His family. It’s not enough to just know the truth; we have to put it into action and let it change our hearts. If we only know the truth but don’t do anything about it, it can make our hearts hard and we might stop believing. Jesus once said that even if someone came back from the dead, some people still wouldn’t believe
Sometimes people think that if we could do miracles like the early Christians did, more people would believe in Jesus. But that’s not true. Even if we could do miracles, it wouldn’t make a difference if people don’t want to believe. When Jesus was on Earth, He did amazing things, but only a few people stayed with Him until the end. They were won over by His words, not just His miracles
So, it’s not enough to just know the truth. We have to let it change us and make us act differently. That’s what really matters. That’s why God says in verse 11, “I swore in my anger, They shall never enter my rest.” This doesn’t mean God is upset because He offered something and they won’t take it. It’s just a way of explaining how things work. When we know the truth but don’t act on it, it has a strange effect: it makes our hearts hard, so we can’t believe what we refuse to act on.
Thought for Reflection
Are we downplaying the everlasting impact on our souls when we choose to ignore and not live by the teachings of the Bible? What are the consequences in the present and future? Just like a house needs a solid foundation to stand tall and strong, our faith in Jesus needs a firm foundation to grow and flourish.

Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank you for loving us so much. Help us to not only know the truth but also let it change us from within. Soften our hearts, Lord, so that we may believe and follow you faithfully. Guide us in putting your words into action, so that others may see your love through us. In your precious name, we pray. Amen.
