CAVEAT: Imo Govt Didn’t Suspend Mass Housing Project – Housing Commissioner
Contrary to the reports by an online platform not NewsTrack Nigeria (newstrack.com.ng) that Imo State Government through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the ministry has rebuffed the story
The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Arc Chijioke Onumajuru, made the clarification in a statement obtained by NewsTrack Nigeria, which he personally signed.
He confirmed that the Mass Housing Project is very much on course, assuring the general public that the project will soon commence.

IMO STATE GOVERNMENT NEVER SUSPENDED MASS HOUSING PROJECT
The attention of Imo State Government has been drawn to a misleading story in an online platform “Newsalert” that it has suspended its Mass Housing project.
For clarity sake, the Mass Housing project was never suspended. What was contained in the press statement from which the unverified and misleading story was written was the suspension of ALL TRANSACTIONS in the proposed site for the project at the Umuoma Nekede
The public is hereby urged to disregard the misleading publication, as the Mass Housing project is very much on course. The Honourable Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Chijioke Onumajuru, with members of the Mass Housing project committee and senior management staff of the Ministry recently embarked on familiarization tour of the sites of the project, where he reassured Imolites that the projects will soon commence in earnest on the proposed sites.
