War Of Attrition In Rivers: Fubara Led Govt Demolishes Of Rivers Assembly Complex
The political war fire in Rivers State has gone beyond talking and maneuvering. It is now a war of attrition where everything including bulldozers are now deployed to physically harm enemies.
The immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the supposed political godfather of the present Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara had threatened to deal with his godson for whatever that may have derailed their peace of the graveyard.
Following the pouring of the milk of Concord into hell, former governor Wike now Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had threatened to impeach Fubara from the office, which failed.
In another coup plot, 27 House of Assembly members out of 31 cross carpeted to the All Progressives Congress, preparing ground for a possible impeachment of the Governor.
Fubara, in retaliation with a physical political artillery, on Wednesday, deployed about 10 bulldozers to the House of Assembly and started the demolition of the complex.
This came as the factional Speaker, Edison Ehie, led other lawmakers loyal to the governor to hold a sitting early on Wednesday before the demolition began.
The demolition is being done under tight security.
This may not be the end of the story as the ruling All Progressives Congress is desperately plotting its graph towards winning back Rivers State in 2027.
In all these, the impoverished Rivers and Nigerian citizens keep wallowing in the wilderness of hunger and Ill health while their common wealth is being expended on the alter of anathema of self preservation of heartless politicians.
