Great Ife Alumni Association Owerri Branch Hosts Q4 GEC, Launches Maiden Compendium 

Great Ife Alumni Association, Owerri, Branch last weekend played host to the Global Executive Council of the Association in Owerri.

The event was contained in a press release issued by the Public Relations Officer of Great Ife Alumni Association, Owerri Branch, Uche Onwuchekwa.

 The highest decision making body of the Association’s meeting began on Friday, December 15, 2023 through Sunday, December 17, 2023. 

The arrival was on Friday, December 15, 2023 followed by a Dinner and a Cocktail party which ended late night. Meanwhile, all events held at De Legend Legend Hotels & Suites.

Earlier, the Global Executive Council led by the Global President, Barr Fred Aburu with the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Hon Commissioner of Special Duties to Imo State Governor, Dr. Okey Anukwuem and the branch Chairman, Chief Charles Okeke, ‘Odiuko’ among other GEC members visited the Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH, Eze Emmanuel Okeke.

The Cocktail provided members who had come from far and near to interact with one another and exchange contacts.

The major Business of the Association was conducted on Saturday, December 16, 2023 shortly after Breakfast.

However the highpoint of the event was the gala Nite and the launching of Great Ife Alumni Association, Owerri Branch Compendium.

The event was full of colour and pageantry with magic finger of a Super DJ and gifted High Life Music Crooner, Emenike Ogbonnaya popularly known as Don Zaki Onye Aba.

Owerri Branch did not fail to live up to its toga as the hospitality destination of the world of Nigeria. Assorted food and drinks were on display as no one was left out, including ethical and faith based drinkers.

“Certainly, the Owerri GEC will for a long time continue to reverberate in the GEC”, said the Global Public Relations Officer of the Association, Great Edward Eivwah.
