Title: Remember Your Leaders

…Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you” (Hebrews 13:7).

Leaders are like superheroes. They have a special power to guide and inspire us. They show us the way and help us succeed. Just like in a movie, leaders bring order to chaos and make things clear when we are confused.
In the Bible, there were amazing leaders who spread God’s message. They were brave and never gave up, even when they faced danger. The book of Hebrews tells us to remember and honor these leaders who spoke God’s word to us. The author of Hebrews reminds us to remember these leaders and the good things they did. We should be thankful for them and learn from their example.
But even leaders need help sometimes. Let’s take Moses as an example. He was chosen by God to lead the people of Israel out of slavery. He was strong and courageous, but he couldn’t do it all alone. In a battle against the Amalekites, Moses got tired. But his friends, Aaron and Hur, came to his aid. They held up his hands so he could keep going. With their support, they won the battle!
Just like Moses, the leaders in your life need your support too. Think about your teachers, parents, and pastors. They work hard to guide and teach you. They need encouragement and rest, just like you do. You can help them by saying kind words, writing them a note, or praying for them. Just like Aaron and Hur supported Moses, find ways to support the leaders in your life.

Thought for reflection:
Who are the leaders in your life that you are thankful for? Think about the people who lead you in your life, like your parents, teachers, coaches, or pastors. Make a list of them and pray for them every week.
Also, think about someone who could use some encouragement today, like a friend, sibling, or neighbor. Send them a kind message or note to brighten their day.
Remember, we can show love and appreciation to those who lead and support us, just like how we honor and remember our spiritual leaders who taught us about Jesus.

Song
Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high his royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory
His army shall he lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.

Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for the leaders in our lives who help us and guide us. Please help us to support them and show them love and kindness. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.
