Title: God’s All-Seeing Eyes

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3

Have you ever wondered if someone is always watching over you, even when you can’t see them? Well, the Bible tells us that the eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3).

Imagine having a friend with the coolest pair of glasses that can see everything, even the things you try to hide. Well, that’s God! He’s not like a spy, though; He sees because He loves us and cares about what we do. God has two superpowers: “omnipresence” (big word alert!) means He’s everywhere, and “omniscience” means He knows everything. So, He sees and knows all things—what we say, think, and even what we forget to say. He’s a super friend who never leaves your side, always making sure you are safe and sound. That’s exactly what God does for us! His watchful eyes are like a loving parent who cares for their children. He sees everything, knows everything, and is always there for us.

So, what does it mean for God to watch over the evil and the good? It means that He is aware of everything happening around us, whether it’s something good or something not so good. When we choose to do what is right and show kindness to others, God sees and smiles upon us. But when we are tempted to do something wrong, His loving eyes remind us to make better choices.

Remember the story of Joshua and the city of Ai? Joshua believed God would help, but something went wrong. Turns out, one of the Israelites, a guy named Achan, took some things he wasn’t supposed to from a previous battle. God saw it all, and because of that, the Israelites faced some tough times. Knowing that God watches over us should bring us comfort and joy. It means we are never alone, and we can always turn to Him for help and guidance. Just like a lighthouse guides ships safely through the darkness, God’s watchful eyes guide us on our journey through life.

Let’s remember this verse from Proverbs 15:3 every day: “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” It’s a reminder that we have a loving and caring God who never takes His eyes off us.

Take a moment to think about the choices you make every day. Remember that God’s watchful eyes are on you, guiding you toward goodness. How can you make choices that reflect love, kindness, and joy today? Trust that God’s presence is with you, encouraging you to walk in the path of goodness. Just like with Achan, God sees everything we do, and one day, He’ll bring it all out. So, let’s aim for actions that make God smile!

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the assurance that your eyes are always watching over us. Help us to make choices that honor you, reflect your love and live in a way that brings joy to your heart. Guide us in the paths of righteousness, and may our actions bring glory to your name. In moments of decision, grant us wisdom and discernment. We trust in your faithfulness and seek to live in a way that pleases you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
