Title: God’s Shelter in the Storm
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10
Imagine you’re out playing with your friends, having fun, when suddenly a huge storm crashes in – dark clouds, strong winds, the whole deal. You know you need shelter, fast! So where do you run? Maybe home to mummy, or under a big tree. But what if there’s nothing around?
Well, that’s where today’s verse from the Bible comes in! Proverbs 18:10 says that God’s name is like a super strong tower. Just like a real tower keeps you safe from storms, God’s name promises us safety and security. When we talk to Him, when we pray and trust in Him, He becomes our shelter, our rock, our awesome fortress.
Ever felt scared or alone? Like after a bad dream or when you’re worried about school stuff? Guess what – you can always call on God! Just like you might run to your parents or a teacher when you need help, God wants us to run to Him. Whether we’re happy, sad, scared, or excited – God is always there for us. He’s like the ultimate superhero, ready to swoop in and save the day.
Just like a tower needs strong walls, our faith needs to be strong too. How do we do that? By reading the Bible, chatting with God in prayer, and sharing our faith with friends. That’s how we build our super-strong faith fortress!
No matter what comes your way, God is there for you. His name is like your very own superhero signal, always letting you know you’re loved and protected. So go out, play, learn, and have a blast, knowing you’ve got the Almighty God watching your back.
Thought for Reflection
Next time you face a challenge, remember that God is your fortress. Try talking to Him in prayer, asking for strength and guidance. See how trusting in Him helps you face tough situations with courage and joy. Take a moment today to think about God’s name and how it makes you feel safe. Draw a picture of a tower with God’s name on it, and share it with your family or friends. Remember, you can always run to God, and He will keep you safe and loved.
