Title: Invitation for Settlement
Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18.
Once upon a time, God spoke to His people with love in His heart. He said, “Come now, let’s talk about this,” says the LORD. “Even though your sins are red like scarlet, they can be as white as snow. Even though they are bright red, they can be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
Imagine God calling you by name and saying, “Let’s talk, just you and Me.” He’s not looking for an argument or a debate. He’s not asking for negotiations. Instead, He’s inviting you to understand His ways, to agree with Him, and to say, “You are right, God. I’m sorry for my mistakes. I want to follow Your way.”
God wants to settle things with you. If you’re willing to admit your mistakes and change your ways, God will forgive you and welcome you back into His loving arms.
God’s invitation is personal. He’s not calling a group of people; He’s calling you, as an individual. When God calls, He shows us where we’ve gone wrong and gently invites us to come back to Him. It’s like when your best friend tells you something important just for you.
Sometimes you might feel like a preacher is speaking right to you, even though they don’t know you. That’s God trying to get your attention! He wants you to know He’s ready to settle things with you.
Thought for Today
Have you ever felt God’s gentle call to come back to Him? When you feel that call, will you respond by coming to God and saying sorry for your mistakes? It’s never too late to come back to God. He’s always ready to forgive and welcome you with open arms.
Today, think about times when you might have made mistakes or done things that you know were not right. Remember, God is always ready to forgive us when we come to Him with a sincere heart. Take a moment to talk to God, tell Him you’re sorry, and ask for His forgiveness. He loves you more than you can imagine!
Song
What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Refrain
Oh, precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow.
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for loving me even when I make mistakes and for inviting me to come back to You. I’m sorry for the things I’ve done wrong. Please forgive me and help me to do better. Thank you for loving me so much and for always being there for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
