Title: The Importance of Choosing Righteousness

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you. Jeremiah 5:25

Have you ever seen something that you knew was wrong, but everyone else seemed to think it was okay? Maybe it was something like being mean to others or not telling the truth. It can be confusing when people call something bad “good.”

In the Bible, in Jeremiah 5:25, it says, “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you.” This means that when we do things that are wrong, it can keep good things away from us. God wants us to choose what is right and good.

God asks us to find people who can make fair judgments and do what is true and good. If we find someone like that, God will forgive us for our mistakes. But sometimes it’s hard to find someone who always does what’s right.

Some people pretend to be good but are really not. They lie, they refuse to listen when they’re wrong, and they don’t want to change their ways. They act like they don’t know God’s ways and make foolish choices.

But here’s the important part: When we follow the wrong things, it can lead to bad consequences. It’s like walking into a forest where dangerous animals live. If we follow the wrong path, we might get hurt.

So, let’s think about the things we do. Are they right or wrong? Let’s choose to follow God’s ways and avoid things that could hurt our relationship with Him. That way, we can stay safe and happy, knowing we’re doing what’s right.

Let’s remember to make good choices, kids, and stay on the path of righteousness!

Thought for Reflection:
Think about something you did today. Was it the right thing to do? Remember to choose what’s good and pleasing to God. That way, we stay close to Him and avoid the bad stuff!

Song
Look upon Jesus, sinless is He;
Father, impute His life unto me.
My life of scarlet, my sin and woe,
Cover with His life, whiter than snow.

Refrain
Cover with His life, whiter than snow;
Fullness of His life then shall I know;
My life of scarlet, my sin and woe,
Cover with His life, whither than snow

Prayer :
Dear God, thank you for showing us what’s right and wrong. Help us to always choose the right path and follow Your ways. When we make mistakes, forgive us and guide us back to You. We want to stay safe in Your love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
