Imo Govt Appoints Sole Administrators For 27 LGAs
In a move aimed at ensuring the conduct of credible local government elections in the state within the next 60 days, the Imo government has approved the appointment of sole administrators for the 27 local government areas of the state.
According to a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Chief Declan Emelumba, the appointments are with immediate effect.
The appointed sole administrators include:Hon. Okoroike Chika (Isiala Mbano), Dr. Obi Emeka P (Onuimo), Hon. Sir Acho Asiegbu (Okigwe), Barr. Obioma Ehirim (Obowo), Chief Uche Nwodu (Ehime Mbano), Hon. Barr. Chukwuma Godson Onyema (Ihitte Uboma), Hon. Okwaraigwe Nnamdi (Oru East) and Hon. Ibekaeme Friday (Orsu) and Barr. Isaiah Chinedu Ezeogu (Orlu).
Others are: Dr. Abiaziem Chima (Oguta), Engr. Ikenna Adikibe (Oru West), Hon. Chief Onyeaju Princewill (Ohaji/Egbema), Chief Paul Duru (Nwangele), Chief Kenneth Ukah (Isu), Hon. Odunze Ajaero JP (Nkwerre), Anaemem Obikaeze (Njaba), Hon. Okechukwu Okwara (Ideato South), Ozigbo Michael (Ideato North), Larry Obinna Chikwe (Ahiazu Mbaise), Nwachukwu Chinedum A (Ezinihitte Mbaise).
The rest are Nwanegwo Ifunanya (Mbaitoli), Hon. Justice Nzeh (Ikeduru), Chief Nnamdi Anyanwu D (Aboh Mbaise), Hon. Kizito Onuoha (Ngor Okpala), Hon. Nwankwo Victor (Owerri West), Engr. Chidiebere Emeribe (Owerri Municipal) and Hon. Lucky Abaronye (Owerri North).
Emelumba said that the appointments are part of the government’s efforts to ensure a smooth and credible electoral process in the state.
