FG Repatriates Nigerians From UAE

The Federal Government has repatriated at least 190 Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates.

This was revealed by the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, through a statement issued by the Zonal Director of National Emergency Management Agency, North Central, Bashir Garga.

The returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja Tuesday morning at 5:59 AM, where they were received by a combined team of government officials led by NEMA.

In accordance with existing protocols, all returnees underwent profiling and documentation by the relevant agencies, who also emphasized the importance of behaving with decorum and responsibility upon their return to Nigeria.

Consequently, the Federal Government has urged all Nigerians, regardless of their location, to serve as exemplary ambassadors of their country by upholding the core values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity.

“The Federal Government has repatriated One Hundred and Ninety (190) Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates. The returnees were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 05:57 by a combined team of government officials led by the National Emergency Management Agency.

“The returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and sensitized to behave with decorum and responsibility on their return to Nigeria.

“The federal government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency and integrity,” the statement read.

Last October, the Federal Government facilitated the repatriation of 542 individuals from the UAE.
