Imo Diasporans Mourn Chief Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba)
- The Iroko has fallen!
Imo state diasporans are utterly devastated to receive the news of the sudden passing of our beloved leader, the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Dr. Sir. Engr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, (Aha-eji-aga-mba of Igbo nation). This is a huge loss not only to the Igbo nation but to Nigeria and the entire world.
Chief Iwuanyanwu was an inspirational, diligent, and visionary leader who until his death, dedicated his life to the service of humanity. He made a tremendous impacts in every facets of life namely: business, politics, social and religious services.
He was the 11th President General of the Apex Igbo Organization (Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Worldwide) – a champion of Igbo cause and a true statesman. Regrettably, he died at the age of 82 while still in active service as the President General of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Worldwide. His tireless efforts to promote unity, progress, and development in Igboland and Nigeria will never be forgotten. His charismatic leadership and wisdom inspired countless individuals, and his legacy will continue to shape the future of our people.
In his reaction, Chief. Engr. Sampson Udeh, the President General of Imo State Leadership In Diaspora Forum Worldwide, expressed seeing Chief Iwuanyanwu work on various initiatives, and attested his unwavering dedication, compassion, and kindness. He said that Chief Iwuanyanwu was a true father figure, always willing to offer guidance and support.
Chief Iwuanyanwu’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to inspire and motivate us to strive for greatness. We will miss his humanitarian services, wise counsel, infectious smile, and his unwavering optimism.
