Igbo Culture Expo As Chiricka Ties Knot With Former Miss Monique

The Dying Igbo culture resurrected in Houston Texas, United States as Dr. Chiricka, Imo Born U.S trained Medical Doctor ties marries his American born Medical Doctor, Monique Wansley Harrison in Igbo Traditional Marriage.
The Enoch Event Place in Houston Texas came alive with creme de la creme of the world of America as Dr. Chiricka Olisakwe and beautiful and elegant former Dr. Monique Wansley Harrison tied the knot in traditional marriage ceremony.
Marriage is one culture that is universal and celebrated by every race and culture but comes ingredients of more excitement and curiosity when two worlds collide.
Dr. Chiricka, Imo illustrious son and United States trained Medical Doctor says Monique Wansley Harrison is the love of his life and it occured at first sight.
As nature would have it, Dr Monique Wansley Harrison from the City of Georgia, also testifies,” he is my fulfillment” as a woman and I will be to him a home he would always happily and inhabit.
The ceremony was and expose of Igbo culture and traditions at its best. The language, food, attires and music were freely on display.
As the tradition demands, Monique had the floor to go find her husband with a drink. She danced all the way in a traditional Igbo style, moving her waste like a swaggering peacock in the ultimate search for her soulmate. When she finally found her Prince charming, the atmosphere was electrifying. She knew exactly what to do at every stage as though she had been thoroughly tutored.
Monique took her handsome hubby to her parents who blessed their marriage and also counseled them.
For Lolo Ngozi Olisakwe, the mother of the Groom, her happiness knew no bounds. Tears flowed down her cheeks uncontrollably as she blessed his son and his God given wife.
“My son, I wish your father were to be here. You have been a source of joy and inspiration to the family. Today, as your mother, I have asked God to grant you the desires of your hearts. You and your wife will live in peace and prosper. Your love for each other will continue to grow and you shall have wonderful children who will also make your joy to be full”, she prayed.
She also encouraged them to always communicate effectively and find solutions to every challenge in the word of God.
Prince Patrick Olisakwe, a member of the family and the President in his remark expressed excitement seeing his cousin get married to the love of his life. He wished them a happy married life.
Speaking further he praises the globalisation of Igbo culture with the observance of all the marriage traditional rites in the United States and other foreign lands.
Adaigbo Association through one of their leaders, Mrs Uzor Ahaneku said the group had come to show solidarity to the Olisakwe family as the Queen Mother was their founding member and the first President of the Association in Houston Texas.
Highlights of the ceremony was the couple’s dance to differing Afrobeats dance with high profile personalities drawn business community, medical sector and other captains of industries.
The peak of the even ushered in the Great Masquerade, which spiced up the ceremony creating room for the nostalgic feelings from the Nigerian Community and exciting display for the diverse races and cultures.
There was flood of tributes from personalities, groups and associations, including Orlu Regional Assembly represented by its President, Chief Chidi Nwanne.
