#EndSARS Protest: NewsTrack Nigeria Commends Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Leadership Qualities

NewsTrack Nigeria wishes to commend the Governor of Lagos State for his sterling leadership qualities, which came to the fore at this time of challenge of managing #EndSARS protesters.

He was proactive in ensuring that he did not leave any stone unturned by taking steps to listen to the grouse of the protesters and their demands as well.

As a follow up, he presented those demands to President Muhammadu Buhari who acknowledged them but conceded to embark on a holistic reform of the police force.

We blame the sad turn of events on the shooting, killings and maiming by the unknown soldiers who created room for hoodlums and urchins to take the advantage of the situation to perpetrate a hellish destructive crime against the state, unleashing mayhem nationwide.

We unequivocally blame the federal government for acting too late by allowing uncoordinated responses, which gave room for suspicion that it will be business as usual.

Meanwhile, the unfortunate incident also exposed so much about the feelings of the people generally by their actions and inactions; their support that Nigeria should burn… These must be considered by those in the position of leadership so as to find a way to assuage those issues that have bred disenchantment in the minds of the citizens of this country.

For Sanwo-Olu, we commend him and wish him well as he has begun the task of rebuilding lagos.
