Medicaid Cancer Foundation Moves To Save Teenagers Life, Others

Following a report about the plight of a teenage boy and a woman living with conditions that appear to be cancer, the founder Medicaid Cancer Foundation, Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu has stepped in to take up the responsibility of their treatment.
Hajiya Atuna Danga, the President of the National Council of Women Societies was first to notice the woman with breast issues and immediately called the attention of the Governor’s wife.
Medicaid Cancer Foundation operates in Nigeria to improve access to treatments for cancer patients and support survivors. Incidentally, the month of October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness thus the foundation has been engaged in a host of community engagements and outreach programs in Kebbi and Abuja.
The second a 12 year old boy Isah Abdullahi, has been living with a large gaping wound on his cheek for over 5 months. Although neighbours commend the efforts of his father in getting treatment, it has all proved abortive.
Subsequently, a combined team of Medicaid cancer foundation and entourage of Her Excellency made the humanitarian stop to the Uban Kasa of Gwadangwajj Alh Umar Ahmed where they met the patients and their relatives.
The Special Adviser to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu Hon Zahrau Wali explained that the lady had already started receiving treatment whilst the boy would start the next day. She commended the effort of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation in Kebbi state and beyond for not being limited to cancer but also helping various needy patients.
The District head extended gratitude for the swift response and urged people to speak to authorities whenever faced with such humanitarian challenges. He prayed that Allah SWA rewards Dr Bagudu with His blessings.
The patients were supported with food and money as welfare outside their medical needs.
