Governor Bagudu Hails Efforts Of NGOs, CBOs Over Covid – 19 Palliative/Relief Materials

In line with the civility of gratitude and appreciation for good deeds, Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State has appreciated Some Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) operating in the state for their role during the distributions of Covid – 19 palliatives.

Governor Bagudu extended this commendation on Tuesday through his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Aliyu Argungu.

According to him, “At the peak of Covid – 19 pendamic, some Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) operating within the state actively participated in the distribution of Palliative/Relief materials across the state. About forty (40) of them participated in the distribution of the said materials from politically demarcated  wards to the local governments up to the state.

“Moreover,  in line with the transparency, all foreign aid materials were either distributed by NGOs and CBOs or by the donors themselves. World Muslim League is a case in point. They brought some relief materials and were asked to distribute the said matetials themselves.

“Peaceful demonstrations against police brutality erupted in Nigeria on October 8 and quickly spiraled into chaos and looting of undistributed Palliative/Relief materials by some states.

” On the Contrary, in Kebbi state, even the most cantankerous critic or the harshest opposition element knows that all the Covid  – 19 Palliative/Relief materials were honestly distributed and shared to the people of the state at the right time. Nothing was kept, stored or hid in any warehouse. Kudos to the honesty and transparency of our good nature Governor, His Excellency, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

“Finally,  it has now dawned upon everybody that Kebbi state Governor Senator Bagudu did the right thing at the right time. 

“Lest I forget,  Governor Bagudu is extending his appreciation to all the NGOs and CBOs in Kebbi state especially those who participated in the distribution of Palliative/Relief materials across the state.”

He called them partners in progress and friends of Kebbi state.
