Governor Fayemi And Umahi Win NACJ Integrity Award


The executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Femi Fayemi, and his Ebonyi State counterpart, Engr David Umahi are among the few eminent Nigerians to receive Integrity Award at the forthcoming NACJ ANNUAL INTEGRITY LECTURE And AWARD.

 
The Annual Event organized by Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ), is designed to discourage corruption and promote the spirit of integrity, in view of the fact that integrity is the direct opposite of corruption.

According to the Secretary General of the Association, “Leaders who are mentally integrity conscious readily shy away from corrupt practices”.


The Secretary General further stated that the Integrity lecture and Award  is a direct contribution of the Association to the developmental progress of the Nigeria, because no nation can attain meaningful development with warped minded leaders. According to Dr Charles Okhai, “the level of development of any nation is basically or intrinsically connected or linked with the level of the Integrity of her leaders.

Other prominent Nigerians who have been penciled down to receive the prestigious Award include, Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector General of Police, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, the Road Safety Corp Marshal, the Speaker Cross Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Williams Eteng and a few others.


The Theme is the Award is tagged, “INTEGRITY IS EVERYTHING”, while the Keynote Address titled, “INTEGRITY, KEY FACTOR TO BUILDING A VIRILE NATION” will be delivered by His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, the executive Governor of Edo State. All roads will lead to Sheraton Hotel Abuja come November 26, to celebrate the Noble men and women of integrity in our society today.
