President of Oneness Foundation, Lady Price Calls On Nigerians To remember Vulnerable Persons

The Founder of a Non-Governmental Organisation, Oneness Foundation, Tabitha Price has called on Nigerians to remember the poor during this period of festivities, especially the most vulnerable ones.

Price calls on privileged Nigerians to look out for those vulnerable sections of the polity, especially the very poor, orphans, widows and physically challenged, and extend some care and love to them.

Oneness Foundation is known for its historical accomplishments in bringing succour to the poor and less privileged. It envisions a near egalitarian society where those at the lower layers of the society can be helped to find fulfillment.

According to Lady Price, “We have been there for some years now. We draw our inspiration and powers from those socially responsible organizations that understand the import of catering for the poor in our society and other vulnerable persons.

“In the United States where we have impacted thousands of lives, individuals, organisations make donations to responsible Non-Governmental Organisations and other Civil Society groups to ensure the downtrodden do not suffer.

“Oneness Foundation is grateful to its partners who have consistently made donations and are willing to even do more for the sake of those vulnerable sections of our society.

“In Nigeria today, we have millions who live below the poverty line. Some of them have taken to crimes while others beg to willingly get involved in various social vices and crimes like cultism, prostitution, armed robbery, kidnapping, terrorism, banditry, .

“I am aware that the Federal Government is doing  its bit but it should leave those who have the knowledge of managing such situations to assist them achieve the desired goal, which will also check some of the menace in the polity.

However, Lady Price hinted at its resolve to extend its charity to some greater number of citizens across the country, saying that it has been doing quite a lot but desires to expand its reach.

“In one of the outreaches we had, Oneness Foundation provided the best fever, cold and cough medicines for adults and children because it was about the time cough and cold related illnesses were spreading like a pandemic. It was a big success though not without some hiccups.

“We felt bad when we discovered that few of the medical practitioners preferred to sell those medicines, which we handed over to them to give to their patients, especially mothers and children free of charge.

“One of them even had the temerity to ask us why such highly priced medicines should be given out free when they are even scarce in the market.

“So, I call on good spirited Nigerians to please reach out to the poor. Get to those youths and widows who are quite vulnerable. You can make sacrifices by paying for them to learn one trade or the other, artisanship or even grant scholarships to enable those in schools complete their education.

“I wish everyone merry Christmas and prosperous New Year”
