Madumere Hails Comptroller of Correction, Rev Freedman For Empowering Schools, Students

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has commended Comptroller of Corrections, Cross River Command, Rev, Ben Rabbi Freedman for fostering peace and lifting the poor.

Former Deputy Governor made the commendation at the occasion of formal inauguration of OGINI and USANG EBOM Foundation empowerment ceremony in Ugep in Yakuur local government area of Cross Rivers State.

Madumere who came in company of his Political associate, Chief I.B. Okafor described Rev Freedman as a good man with a good heart who loves peace and can sacrifice for peace.

“I have known Rev. Ben Rabbi Freedman for a while now. He is my brother, friend, associate and partner.

“He understands the task we are commissioned to carry by our Lord Jesus Christ. Quoting from the book of Matthew in the Scriptures, he said “Our Lord Jesus Christ said ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in;I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“When his disciples asked him when all these happened, Our Lord replied:  ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

“Today we are gathered to join you as you extend a hand of fellowship to those ones in need; to empower the have-nots. It is even more strategic because you are nursing the youths – leaders of Tomorrow.

“I encourage you to continue this noble event and rest assured that our good Lord will continue to bless you and bring men and women of like minds to you who will help to sustain this great service to God and humanity.”

Meanwhile, Rev Freedman through his Foundation empowered fifty students 50 students by awarding monitory grants to each of them qualified students.

Those in High institutions received N30, 000 each. Those in Secondary School received N15,000 each while Primary school pupils received N10,000 each.

He also extended the good gesture by giving out learning materials to various schools. The Foundation gave out exercise books and pens.

The event witnessed a large turnout of people coming across Yakuur local government area with other dignitaries coming from other States of the federation, including his colleagues from Nigeria Correctional Services.
