Topic: I am Joseph!

_Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, “Have everyone leave my presence!” So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers. Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! . . . They were terrified at his presence.” Genesis 45:1, 3._

Joseph a dreamer was hated by his siblings because of the dreams he had. He was sold by his siblings to do away with his constant reporting of their bad conduct and dreams of greatness in the family.
He was sold to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels and the Ishmaelites took him to Egypt. At Egypt, Potiphar took him to serve at Pharaoh’s palace.

After many trials because of his uprightness he was elevated. He was in charge of food during the famine in the land. When his siblings came to buy food they couldn’t recognise him but he did.

He had a good opportunity to pay them back but he never thought of that. He saw the brothers’ hatred as God’s divine plan to sustain his entire family during famine and did not repay them with evil. He saw his encounter in Egypt as an avenue to teach his siblings true forgiveness, repentance and reconciliation, thus he cried bitterly.

How do you see your current condition today? Do you see it as divinely planned to touch a heart and reach the world? Do you see it as a channel to bless your classmates, playmates, fellow church members and even your family? Joseph saw his current position as great opportunity for family reunion, peace and happiness.

Be like Joseph and make good use of your current situation to lift God’s name higher any where, anytime anyday, so that We can individually say “I AM JOSEPH ; I WILL GO”

*Song*
All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well,
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.

*Prayer*
God Almighty help us to be like Joseph as we live to please you in Jesus name Amen
