Buhari’s Imo Visit: FG Committed To Building Sustainable Future, Says President Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated the Federal government’s resolve to build strong and sustainable future for the country, assuring to tackle security situation in the country.
According to him, the Federal government is working in accordance with the blueprint of the administration which is tailored towards creation of jobs, building viable infrastructure, creating enabling environment, eradicating all forms of criminality and terrorism activities in the country.
President Buhari highlighted that they have made great in roads in tackling these challenges and advised that the citizens to keep hope alive.
The president made the submission on Thursday while commissioning various projects in Imo State.
He revealed that the present administration has confronted the enlisted issues frontally and calls for collaborative efforts between the Federal government and State governments as they have conquered most of the set out goals .
He indicated that the Federal government will continue to work tirelessly until all the promises made are fulfilled.
President Buhari called on Nigerians to believe in the country, the unity and indivisibility of the Nation as together we will build a viable and enviable society of our collective dreams and aspirations.
He revealed that Nation building calls for tolerance, accommodation and holistic approach while highlighting that the nation is making tremendous progress in rebuilding the economy and nurturing our nascent democracy where everyone will have a stake.
The President made it known that they are tackling insecurity tenaciously and the Federal government will stop at nothing in restoring total peace and tranquility in the country.
The number one citizen commended the Governor of Imo State ,Hope Uzodinma for gallantly tackling the spate of insecurity that confronted the state recently and revealed that the speed at which peace had returned to the State is quite commendable.
He charged the governor to maintain the momentum also praised Uzodinma for the level of infrastructural development and revealed that with this speed i the State is set to compete favourably with other developd States in the federation.
He stated that the Federal Government will continue to support the State governments to attain greater heights in infrastructural development and human capital development.
Speaking earlier, the Governor Uzodinma explained that on assumption of office, most of the infrastructure in the State had collapsed and set out to building and revitalising same.
He said that the state was confronted with enormous drainage challenges and expressed satisfaction that with the commissioning of the balloon driven technology by the President, the issue of flooding will be a thing of the past In the state .
The governor expressed enthusiasm in respect of the Presidential visit and explained that this marks a turning point in the history of the State.
