Kidnappers Demand N5m To Free 68-Year-Old Rivers Pensioner
Kidnappers of the 68-year-old retired civil servant, Tamunokro Ibisikiminapaka from Kaliama in Okrika local government area of Rivers State have demanded N5m ransom to free the victim.
But the victim’s family appealed to the assailants to release their father unconditionally.
Ibisikiminapaka was abducted on September 15 when the gunmen broke into his residence in Borikiri, Port Harcourt and took him to an unknown destination.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, one of his children, Osimiepreye Kalio said the kidnappers contacted them and demanded N5 million ransom.
She pleaded with the gunmen to free the old man saying his father has health challenges including diabetes.
She said: “My father was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday, 15th September. We are pleading with his abductors to please release him unconditionally.
“My father is 68-years-old. He is hypertensive and he is diabetic. We do not know what his condition is.
“We have not been allowed to speak with him for the past three days. Please release him so that he can come back to us. We are pleading.”
