Davido Reveals Intention To Back Campaign Against Drug Abuse

While applause has trailed his appreciable donations to the orphanage homes, top music star Davido has also announced plans to support campaign against drug and substance abuse.

The award-winning music star made this known following a donation spree by his colleagues, friends, associates, and brands that generatedN200 million.

He went a step further to add N50million to the donations before announcing his decision to give it all to charitable causes.

Davido, in an official statement, announced that a five man committee, which was recently inaugurated, will determine the fraction of the funds that will be donated to Paroche reachout foundation.

“The committee will also determine the portion of the money (N250million) will be donated to Paroche Foundation,” the statement reads in part.

Paroche Reach Out Foundation is a non-governmental organization, set up to enlighten the public on the dangers of substance abuse and addiction with a vision to eliminate substance abuse in the society, and enable an environment free of social vices.

The foundation provides rehabilitation, counseling, crises intervention, family conferencing and public awareness services.
