Great Ife Alumni Imo State Chapter Holds Her End Of The Year Get Together On Dec. 12

– To Honour Deserving Members

The Great Ife Alumni Association, Imo State Chapter will on Sunday, December 12 hold her End of the Year/ Award Get Together in Owerri At Legend Hotel, Owerri, Imo State.

Great Ife Alumni Association is the umbrella body of Graduates from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife.

Speaking with the Chairman of Imo State Chapter of the Association, Chief Charles Okeke, Odiuko, he said the Imo State chapter of Great Ife Alumni Association is one of the most vibrant and productive Alumni Associations in the country, having contributed immensely to the development of its alma mater, sticking together to protect members’ interests.

His words:

“By this time of the year, we usually come together to take stock of how we have faired and of course give a pat on the back to one another.

“Ife Alumni no doubt has done well even in within it’s immediate environment, having contributed to help the less privileged and the public generally to lead a fulfilled life.

“Let’s not forget that Great Ife University (Obafemi Awolowo University) has contributed to the intellectual development of the State, in virtually all facets; Legal practice, academia, Health Care, Politics, Business and other areas of endeavours

“This year is different because we shall be honouring our members who have distinguished themselves in their differing endeavours and who have in no little measure help to sustain the Association.

“Our friends, associates and well wishers will also be present to rejoice with us”, stated.

Chief Okeke however stressed that Covid-19 protocols must be observed for those who wish to attend.
