Scene of the protest.
The members of the Ogwu-Aniocha community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Thursday, stormed the Government House, Awka, to submit a petition to Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The petition is in respect of their monarch who was abducted and murdered in November 2021.
The police have arrested some suspects who have confessed to the crime.
The community members are appealing to the governor to call on the chief judge of the state to transfer their case files to a neutral judge in the state, saying they were not satisfied with the present judge handling the matter.
Receiving the protesters on behalf of the governor, the Chief of Staff, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, hailed them for their peaceful conduct and assured them of justice.
