2023: I Don’t Believe In Igbo Presidency, I Support Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello – MASSOB Leader, Ralph Uwazuruike

The leader of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, Saturday, in his usual controversial outing has distanced himself from the call for Igbo presidency.

Uwazuruike publicly declaring support for Bello, he said he does not believe in Igbo presidency, suggesting it should be thrown open.

He led some South East youths in a solidarity march in Owerri, the Imo State capital in support of the 2023 presidential bid of the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.

Uwazuruike made his stance while playing host to Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), when he paid him a courtesy call in his Owerri residence.

The youths, who started the procession from the MASSOB leader’s house in Owerri, marched through the streets, carrying different placards, with inscriptions such as “Power to the Youths, Support Yahaya Bello”, “Youths Can Also Lead”, and “Yahaya Bello for the Youths”, among others.

They made it clear that the only solution to Nigeria’s political quagmire right now is for power to go to the youths, and in this regard, they say Yahaya Bello is the right man fit for the position of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Uwazuruike, who advised Nigerians and party leaders to shun zoning, as it has no place in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, said his group would support Bello to become the next president of Nigeria because he had the leadership qualities to lead Nigeria effectively.

He noted that power should go to the best in the race, adding that the Kogi governor remained the best for the job and all Nigerians should rally round the youthful governor whom he said has the capacity to solve the problem of insecurity and a host of other issues facing the nation at the moment.

Ralph Uwazuruike, who is also the founder of Biafran Independent Movement (BIM) said that Nigeria’s sovereignty must be upheld and the idea of an Igbo president should be discarded.
