Shock As Man Strangles ‘Protective’ Mother In Sapele
In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year-old man identified as Felix Chinasa Nwafor, who is reported to be mentally unstable, has allegedly strangled his own mother in Amukpe, Sapele, Delta State.
The incident, which has left the community in a state of disbelief, occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Felix had been residing with his mother for some time before this tragic incident took place. According to witnesses, they were awakened by the sound of the mother’s voice, prompting them to rush to the scene. To their horror, they discovered Felix in the act of strangling his mother.
An eyewitness who preferred to remain anonymous, shared the chilling account, stating, “When we heard the mother’s voice, we dashed down, only to find Felix strangling his mother. Before we could intervene, the mother was already dead.”
The scene was undoubtedly one of utter despair and shock for those who witnessed it.
However, a source close to the incident disclosed that there may be more to this tragic story. The witness, who claimed to live near Felix’s mother, expressed suspicions that the young man may have sexually assaulted his mother before ultimately taking her life. “The mother was too protective, and that’s where her troubles began,” he averred.
While the police have confirmed the veracity of the incident, an anonymous source revealed that the family arrived at the police station with the lifeless body of the mother and the mentally unstable young man restrained in chains.
