COVID – 19: ABBA KYARI, Chief of Staff to President Buhari passes on
The Presidency has announced the unfortunate transition of the Chief of State to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari who was aged 81.
The announcement was contained in a press release signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media, Mr. Femi Adesina, which indicates that he had died from the Covid – 19 infection.
The press release reads:
” The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.
“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.
‘May God accept his soul.
Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.”
