BREAKING: APC ends Obaseki’s second term dream, two others

Today, All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee for Edo State Governorship election declared Governor Godwin Obaseki unfit to contest in the forthcoming election following some discrepancies in his educational certificates and NYSC.

Others also disqualified are Hon. Matthew Iduoroyekemwen and Egnr. Chris Ogiemwonyi.

The committee however cleared Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu, Dr. Pius Odubu and Hon. Osaro Obazee.

It has been a tug of war between Governor Obaseki and his estranged godfather over some irreconcilable issues that bordered on the leadership of Edo State House of Assembly.

It was reported that Obaseki had refused Oshiomole the request of producing the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, which the latter saw as an affront and height of ingratitude.

With the latest development, it is only a truism that more political warfare is far from over.
