Madumere Salutes Fathers, Calls them True Founders of Great Societies
The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has extended words of encouragement to Fathers on father’s Day, describing them as the founders of great societies.
Prince Madumere made admonition last Sunday shortly after church service at his country home, Lake Malinda, Achi, Ezi-Mbieri autonomous community, Mbaitoli local government of Imo State.
He observed that 2020 Fathers’ Day celebration is done in a low key following the globally ravaging Covid – 19 pandemic.
He encouraged Fathers to be of good cheer, take responsibility of guiding their families through the trying period.
While describing men as founders of families, he hammered on the need for them to ensure that children are shielded from unnecessary dangerous exposures that are prevalent in today’s world.
He also admonished wives not to anger their husbands, advising tolerance and understanding especially at this period that Fathers are over stretching themselves to ensure they provide for the family.
His words: “As we celebrate Fathers’ Day today all over the world. I celebrate fellow Fathers. Though this year’s celebration came at a time that the world is battling the dreaded Covid – 19 pandemic, we must arm ourselves with all the preventive measures to keep the families safe.
“I trust in what real fathers can do. They security of the family is their responsibility. No father looks the other way when his family is in danger. They fight with everything they have. Responsible fathers will stop at nothing to ensure they put food on the table for the family.
“The truth is that fathers are at their best when they have a supporting and understanding wives; when our wives respect us and show understanding, then they receive extreme love in return.
“We are in perilous times; our children are unduly exposed to shenanigans of civilization. As responsible Fathers, our goal is complete when we have been able to guide shield our children from these deviant behaviours. This is the reason Fathers are disciplinarians and that’s how God has made it”.
