Ex Deputy Gov. hails President Buhari’s intervention to reposition APC, Congratulates Caretaker Chair

Imo former Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has praised President Mohammadu Buhari’s leadership as the leader of All Progressives Congress and for recommending the repositioning of the Ruling All Progressives Party.

Prince Madumere’s statement was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media, Uche Onwuchekwa.

The APC founding member said that the party was derailing and was already enveloped by bad blood, leading to protracted disagreements in the leadership.

Congratulating the members of the Caretaker Committee led by the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, he charges them to ensure sincere reconciliation with a view to repositioning and strengthening the party.

Prince Madumere urged the party faithful to give the Buni led caretaker committee all the support to succeed.

The statement reads in part:

“The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere extols President Mohammadu Buhari for his leadership, particularly his recommendation to rejig the party and cleanse it of bad blood and endless disagreement.

“We are hopeful that the party will come to the round table and audit its assets and liabilities so as to reposition the party for a brighter future.

“Prince Madumere also heartily felicitates the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni on his deserved emergence as the Chairman, National Caretaker Committee of our great party among other members.

“We trust that right things will be done, bearing in mind that justice and fairness remain the inalienable key to progress. And as Progressives, let’s all keep an open mind and work together to greater Nigeria.”
