Madumere hails Imo Youth on International Youth Day, Commends President Buhari on AGSMEIS

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State and All Progressives Congress founding member, Prince Eze Madumere has felicitated Imo Youths on the auspicious occasion of International Youth Day.

Prince Madumere’s thought was expressed in a press release by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Uche Onwuchekwa.

Madumere said the 2020 Theme for the day borders Youth Engagement for Global Action vis-a-vis the enhancement of the participation and lessons therein.

Madumere however expressed happiness with the creativity and innovations that have been so far exhibited by Imo youth in all facets of life.

He further stated that there is need to increase their participation in politics and policy issues with a view to equipping them for higher leadership responsibilities.

“The former Deputy Governor heartily identifies with Imo Youth on the auspicious occasion of International Youth Day.

“He hails the United Nations recommendation of August 12 to be marked annually. This year’s theme is particularly interesting. ‘Youth Engagement for Global Action.’

“All over the world the youths are the driving force in the creative industry with innovations and technology. I am particularly happy that Imo youth are not left out.”

The former Deputy Governor however tasked the government at every level to not to spare anything in equpping the youth so as to make them competitive with their contemporaries all over the world through quality education and leadership training.

He hammered on the need to design a blueprint with which the present youth energy, skills and innovations are utilised optimally, saying that their non engagement is the tooth cause of advance fee fraud.

“Our youth must also build strong spirit to say no to delinquent attitudes and live above allowing criminality as a means of livelihood”.

” I am aware of the Federal Government Programme, ‘Agribusiness, Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS), where Young Entrepreneurs can access loans from Nirsal Microfinance Banks without any hitches”, he stated.
