Madumere Applauds APC National Leadership’s Intervention in Imo

Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has commended the leadership of All Progressives Congress led by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for resolving the confusion created by some retrogressive elements in Imo APC.

Madumere’s commendation was contained in a press release by his Special Adviser, Media & Publicity, Uche Onwuchekwa.

He stressed that there can only be one captain in a ship, saying that Governor Hope Uzodinma must be given the needed support from every party man.

He expressed happiness that party faithful who believe in principles that guides hierarchy of leadership in the party are returning, urging them to defend the government to ensure stability.

According to the release, Madumere said that, “there is no doubt the state is encumbered with some challenges which are either inherited or due to recent developments occasioned by the down-turn in the economy following the devastating effect of Covid – 19 pandemic. The good news is that they are being attended to and are being resolved.

“What we need now is to create an atmosphere of stability within the party and in the polity to enable the governor concentrate in the daunting challenges facing the state.

“I believe with the decision of the national leadership of our party, All Progressives Congress, to intervene in Imo affair is a right step in the right direction. There can be only one captain in the ship.

“Those causing confusion have been asked to do the needful. They have been advised to go and re-register in their various wards. The party is large enough to accommodate all.

“I salute Governor Mai Mala Buni led leadership for their interventions and for being proactive in their decision to put the party on the progressive path. That is why we must support the leadership as recognized by the leadership of the party.

“The only recognized Chairman of All Progressives Congress in the State as at today is Prince Marcellinus Nlemigbo. I call on all and sundry to give peace a chance. Of course the Governor is incontrovertibly the leader of the party”
