Madumere tasks Nigerians on Patriotism

The immediate past deputy governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has called on Nigerian to imbibe the spirit of patriotism, saying is the only national character requisite for national development.

Prince Madumere made the call recently while fielding questions from newsmen during the traditional wedding ceremony of Sir Emeka Offor’s daughter, Njideka with her heartthrob, Ugochukwu in Oraifite, Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra State.

He said that if Nigerian leaders were to be patriotic, they will not be so greedy to the extent of liquidating a whole state in the name of governance.

He used the opportunity to praise some Nigeria Business moguls for their patriotism and love for the country, encouraging them not to deviate from the step of holding up Nigerians in times of need.

He used the occasion to hail the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Chief Allen Chukwuma for air lifting Nigerians from South Africa back home following sustained xenophobic violent attacks on Nigerian citizens and other African nationals.

He described Chukwuma’s effort as nationalistic and patriotic.

Prince Madumere did not also fail to shower encomium on some of the Igbo leaders, especially Chief Emeka Offor, Arthur Eze among others, describing them as the salts of the society.

“We have seen great Nigerians prove what patriotism is but this one is simply nationalistic and selfless. I commend them from the depth of my heart. They cut across geopolitical zones. They care less about your ethnic identity but all they know is that you are a Nigeria. Such is the spirit.

“These are men who do so much and talk very little. I am a beneficiary of their benevolence. Someday, I shall discuss those once in the public. May God keep us alive”; he concluded.
