Madumere Salutes President Buhari, Nigerians @ 60, Urges For Understanding

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has felicitated with President Mohammadu Buhari and Nigerians as Nigeria celebrates 60th Independence anniversary

The former deputy governor made the call on arrival at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo airport while speaking to newsmen.

He said that despite the liability of security and few other areas, Nigeria has continued to record appreciable developments in strategic sectors, applauding President Buhari’s effort in food security and consolidation in productive sectors, particularly in Small and Medium Scale enterprises.

Madumere further hailed the effort of the federal government on the ongoing revamping of Nigeria’s railway system, describing it as strategic to national development, particularly in economic growth and development.

On security challenges, Madumere blames it on lack of patriotism, saying that those involved should turn a new leaf and invest their energy in national development.

Meanwhile, he has hailed the majority of Nigerians for their patience, love and belief in the unity of the country, sharing the same faith that Nigeria will still attain its potential.

“I join other well meaning Nigerians to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our Independence.

“I heartily congratulate Nigerians and President Mohammadu Buhari because it is a landmark in the life of our nation. Truly, the country has had its down moments but what is important is our resilience and faith in the country.

“While I agree that we have had sustained security challenges coupled with other issues but we also have so much to celebrate. In the area of transportation vis-à-vis the railway system, I salute All Progressives led government for this effort. It is strategic to national development, especially in the area of economy.

“I wish to also join my faith with those who believe in the unity of Nigeria, believing that it will achieve its full potential as a great nation.

Happy 60th Independence Anniversary,” he stated.
