Governor Uzodimma Pays Last Respect To Late Rev. Msgr Okechukwu, Says His Death Was Shocking

GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA PAYS LAST RESPECT TO REV. MSGR. RALPH OKECHUKWU

Governor Hope Uzodimma paid his last respect to the Late. Rev. Msgr. Raphael Okechukwu who until his death was the Priest in-charge of the Government House Chaplaincy at a Holy Mass and interment in his honor at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri.

Gov. Uzodimma described the death of the Monsignor as shocking and regrettable while it should be at a time when the state government and imolites requires the sincere admonition and prayers of a man of God like Father Madu.

He extolled the virtues of the Late Prelate as a good man whose life was rooted in the service of God and humanity. His life was one filled with several accomplishments and one worthy of emulation that even generations yet unborn will remember him for.

He further described his short period of service at the Government House Chaplaincy as impactful and described the person of Msgr. Madu as an achiever, goal-getter, friendly, accessible and one who was interested in the advancement of Christ kingdom until his death and encouraged all and sundry to lead a life we will be remembered for.

We have therefore consoled ourselves and especially the catholic family in the state that we cannot question the will of God but to give him praises in all situations and having been assured by the scriptures that precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.

We love Rev. Msgr. Raphael Okechukwu Madu but God loves him the most and we pray for the peaceful repose of his soul as well as an eternal rest.
