Abamaragu Admonishes Christians At Easter, Urges Them To Live By Christ’s Principles

Chief Adolph Anokwute popularly known as ‘Abamaragu n’Orlu has joined other leaders to rejoice with Christians at Easter celebration, sueing for peace, love and harmony.

The business mogul and compassionate Politician made the statement at his villa in Umuezeala Uzoubi Umunna, Orlu local government area of Imo State, shortly after he returned from Church service.

Chief Anokwute said that Easter Celebration is very symbolic in Christianity, describing it as the celebration of the foundation of Christian faith and hope for eternal life.

He called on the leaders to learn the sacrifices of Jesus Christ who chose to pay the ultimate price of dying to save man from eternal condemnation.

“Over two thousand years ago, the only begotten son of God came in human form and lived as humans, taught us how to lead a good life, revealed to us the wishes of the Almighty Father for man.

“Despite his rejection, he still died that whosoever believes will not only be saved from eternal condemnation but will have life in abundance.

“Such is the hallmark of leadership and those who claim to be Christians must live by His principles; not stealing from the public, oppressing the poor and causing social disorder and restiveness by converting public funds meant for development to personal and family purse.

While congratulating the Governor of Imo State Senator Hope Uzodimma for the season, he requested of him to do whatever it takes to change the tide by uplifting people’s living standard, enthrone social justice and ensure that people are held responsible for their actions.

He however encouraged the people of the state to exercise restraints in the way they deal with one another, especially those who for over bloated profits make life unbearable for the poor by their unjustifiable mark up in prices of their goods, food items.

He assures that if most people would live by Christ’s standard, the world would be a better place to live in.
