Ensure Igbo Culture, Value System Do Not Die, Madumere To Traditional Rulers


Madumere Tasks Traditional Rulers On Preservation Of Igbo Culture, Value System

Imo former Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has harped on the need to ensure that Igbo Culture is preserved and pass it to the younger generations.

The former Deputy Governor made the assertion yesterday at the Coronation of High Chief Mike Duru Ejiogu as the Traditional Prime Minister of Añara Ancient Kingdom in Isiala Mbano Local Government of Imo State.



Prince Madumere commended Ejiogu for his choice of getting involved in ensuring that Igbo value system, tradition and culture are preserved for generations to come.

He however hammered on the need to sensitise every family to instill Igbo valued traditions and culture in the younger generation, especially the dialects of Igbo Language.

He said: “I am impressed by my friend and brother’s positive disposition towards our culture and tradition.



“High Chief Mike Duru Ejiogu has been successful in his business and still he has never been founding wanting in the things that concern the welfare of his people.

“Today, he has taken this love for his people and Igbo race further by settling to be coronated as a Traditional Prime Minister of the good people of Añara in Isiala Mbano Local Government area of Imo State.

“I encourage him to have the courage to confront issues that are anti cherished values of his people and Igbo in general. I urge him to use this opportunity to work with parents and other community leaders to instill Igbo cherished values in our children for generational sustenance.

“I congratulate him and wish him as successful leadership as he helps his Monarch to succeed by always working together to deliver on the desires of the people.”

Earlier, High Chief Ejiogu, had welcomed the former Deputy Governor with a warm embrace, commending him for coming to identify with him despite the sustained heavy downpour.

He eulogised Madumere for always been sincere in his dealings with people. “You promised you would make it, and here you are.

“I remember one advise you gave me politically, which I took to the bank. Today, I am better for him.”

He prayed God to continue to guide and grant Madumere the desires of his heart.
