*Topic: KILL YOUR LION AND BEAR.*

_And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 1 Samuel 17:34-35_

The truth about life is that most of the troubles and problems that come to us are meant to prepare and equip us for the greater battles ahead in our life time.
Life is full of stages and each one introduces the next with a test that you must pass, otherwise you will remain stagnant.
David was sometime in his life faced with two dangerous animals. Little did he know that they were mere instruments of training to prepare him for the battle against Goliath. Imagine if he had ran away from those beasts. He would not have a testimony to give to his kingsmen that he can get down the giant, Goliath.
Beloved, what are your own lion and bear? Is it discouragement, hatred from friends and neighbours, depression, hunger, hopelessness? Could be failure in exam, troubles at home and many more. I encourage you today to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Kill them and move forward. The Lord will fight for you. They cannot stop you. They are actually preparing you for something greater.

*Song*
A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing; Our helper He, amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe, Doth seek to work us woe,
His craft and power are great,
And armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not His equal.

*Prayer*
Oh Lord, help me to see opportunities in my life challenges and prepare me to do away with unnecessary fear in Jesus’ name, Amen.
