Court Sentences Founder Of Oduduwa University To Death By Hanging For Killing OAU Student For Rituals
Chief Judge of Osun State, Oyebola Ojo, has condemned Rahman Adedoyin, founder of Oduduwa University to death by hanging over the ritual killing of Obafemi Awolowo University student, Timothy Adegoke.
The Osogbo division of the state high court pronounced the sentence after it found Mr Adedoyin and his associates guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and unlawful killing.
The deceased was killed in November 2022, after he lodged into Mr Adedoyin’s hotel, Hilton Hotel and Resort to sit his exams at the nearby OAU distance learning center in Moro, Osun.
His mutilated body, in what looked like a ritual killing, was found days later buried in a shallow grave close to the hotel.
After police investigation, Mr Adedoyin and his associates were charged on 11-count of murder, conspiracy, attempted felony, unlawful interference with a dead body, altering and intent to destroy evidence.
