Editorial Policy
Readers should be able to trust what they read on NewsTrack Nigeria. This page explains the standards we follow when we research, write and publish.
Our Principles
We aim to be accurate, fair and clear. We write about sport because we care about it. We do not publish content just to mislead readers or to get clicks.
How We Choose Sources
We rely on official club and league announcements, verified team news, match data providers and respected news outlets. For transfer stories, we name the source of the report whenever we can. We do not present rumours as facts.
Fact-Checking
Before we publish, we check names, dates, scores, fixtures and key claims against our sources. Match previews use recent form, head-to-head records and the latest team news available at the time of writing.
How We Write Predictions
Our predictions are based on form, injuries, tactics and past meetings between the teams. We explain our reasoning so readers can judge it for themselves. We never promise results. Our betting content is meant for adults only and follows our Responsible Gambling guidelines.
Use of Tools and AI
We may use digital tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help with research and drafting. A person reviews, edits and approves every article before it goes live. Our editors are responsible for what we publish.
Corrections and Updates
We make mistakes sometimes. When we find one, we fix it quickly. If the error is significant, we add a note to the article that explains what changed. We also update older articles when new facts appear, such as injury news or squad changes.
Independence and Advertising
Advertisers and partners do not control our editorial choices. Our predictions and opinions are our own. If a post contains paid or affiliate links, we will say so clearly.
Images and Copyright
We respect the work of others. We use images and text that we own, have permission to use, or that are properly licensed. If you believe we have used your work by mistake, please contact us and we will review it quickly.
